Mechanical Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Manager to join a major commercial construction scheme in London

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical services, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Management Team, subcontractors, consultants and client throughout the project.

Mechanical Manager Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all mechanical services works on the project from installation through to completion.
• Oversee mechanical subcontractors and specialist contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate mechanical installations with other trades and the wider construction programme.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying and resolving any design or coordination issues.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings, progress meetings and technical coordination meetings.
• Monitor progress against programme and ensure key mechanical milestones are achieved.
• Liaise with consultants, designers, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical and installation issues.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with current regulations, project specifications and relevant standards.
• Assist with procurement, material approvals and subcontractor management where required.
• Monitor quality, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure accurate project records, inspections, snagging and handover documentation are maintained.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site.

Mechanical Manager Requirements

• CSCS
• SMSTS
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Manager / Mechanical Project Manager / Mechanical Site Manager within commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and commercial MEP installations.
• Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and programmes.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Relevant mechanical/building services qualifications are desirable.
