Mechanical Manager - NHS Trust, Client Side (Essex) Hi I am recruiting for a Mechanical Manager to join the Estates team at an NHS Trust in Essex on a contract basis. Contract Details: Location: Essex, on site Rate: £215 per day, Outside IR35 Contract: 6 months Working pattern: Full time, on site The role Reporting into the Estates leadership team, you will lead the mechanical maintenance service across the hospital estate, taking day-to-day responsibility for all mechanical systems and keeping the estate safe, compliant and operational. You''ll manage a team of in-house mechanical staff alongside specialist contractors, driving statutory compliance, planned and reactive maintenance, and the mechanical elements of minor works, in a busy acute healthcare environment. Key responsibilities Lead the mechanical maintenance function across the estate, managing in-house mechanical teams and specialist contractors Ensure statutory and mandatory compliance across mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, steam, LTHW/HWS, medical gas, water hygiene and pressure systems, in line with HTMs and NHS guidance Deliver and manage PPM and reactive maintenance through the CAFM system, prioritising works to minimise downtime Hold or support Authorised Person duties across relevant mechanical disciplines and manage the AP/CP structure Maintain safe systems of work, RAMS and permit-to-work for all mechanical works and contractor control Oversee the mechanical elements of minor ..... full job details .....
