Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Building Services

• Salary: -45,000+ overtime

• Shift Pattern (M-F): 07:00 - 16:00 / 09:00 - 18:00 (Weekly Rotation)

• Location: West End

• Environment: Commercial office space

Key Maintenance Responsibilities:

• HVAC Systems: Maintenance and troubleshooting of Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), dampers, and cooling towers.

• Boiler & Plant Rooms: Monitoring and maintaining commercial heating systems, pumps, and pressurized vessels.

• Plumbing & Drainage: Overseeing TMV testing, L8 Legionella compliance, and repairing leaks or blockages in commercial pipework.

• Water Treatment: Managing water softeners, chemical dosing, and cooling water analysis.

• Pumps & Motors: Routine bearing changes, alignment, and seal replacements on booster sets and circulation pumps.

• BMS Integration: Utilizing the Building Management System (BMS) to identify faults, adjust setpoints, and optimize energy usage.

• Qualified: Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or HVAC.

• Building Savvy: Previous experience in a Building Services or FM maintenance role is essential.
