We are seeking skilled-Mechanical Fitters-to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a pneumatic background, possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various fabrication techniques. This role involves assembling and welding components to create high-quality products, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Working on site with accomodation, weekend work available and overtime rates.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to join metal parts securely.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fitting, fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations.
- A commitment to safety practices in the workplace is required.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
