Job Title: Design and Build Mechanical Estimator Location: Staffordshire Salary: Up to 70,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits About the Role We are looking for an experienced Design and Build Mechanical Estimator to join a growing building services contractor delivering high-quality mechanical installations across a range of commercial and industrial projects. This is a key role within the pre-construction team, responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders and cost plans for mechanical building services packages. You will work closely with internal design teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop commercially viable solutions and deliver winning bids. The ideal candidate will have strong design and build experience, excellent commercial awareness, and the ability to identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining technical compliance and buildability. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates and tender submissions for design and build projects. Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Develop accurate cost plans, take-offs, and pricing schedules. Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
