Mechanical Design Engineer - Consumer and Medical Products - PermLocation: London (W1) - 5 days a week 40 hours per week. Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience.Engineer Innovation from Concept to ManufactureWe are working with a leading product innovation consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Consultant for Mechanical Engineering Design, to deliver complex engineering projects from concept through to production in the Medical and consumer product world.This role suits a technically strong, commercially aware engineer with experience leading projects, solving complex design challenges, and managing client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesLead client communication and project deliveryInterpret briefs, define requirements, and manage plans, budgets, and timelinesDevelop innovative engineering concepts and assess feasibilityDeliver robust designs using 3D CAD, FEA/CFD, mathematical modelling, and prototype testingSupport system-level engineering across structures, mechanisms, thermo-fluids, and manufacturingProduce manufacturing specifications, engineering drawings, and tolerance analysisEnsure compliance with quality and regulatory standardsAbout YouEssential:Degree (1st or 2:1) in Mechanical Engineering or similarStrong SolidWorks 3D CAD skillsExperience with FEA/CFD simulation and tolerance calculationsKnowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, moulding, fabrication, casting, and assemblyStrong communication and stakeholder management skills5+ years'' ..... full job details .....
