Mechanical Design Engineer

My client, a leading Engineering company based in High Wycombe are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience of mechanical and hydraulic design and a sound knowledge of FEA. As part of the role, the Mechanical Design Engineer will have partial responsibility for the technical execution of multiple projects (Client projects and RandD projects) together with managing the design documentations to Clients and Production. Main Duties: Lead client driven projects with the assistance of the Senior Engineer and the support of other engineers within the team. Assist the project management team in converting client s engineering requirements into detailed defined instructions, identifying the key priorities for the procurement and production departments to complete a project. Conceive, research, and develop engineering designs from product ideas gathered by liaising with Clients, together with Sales, Projects, and Production departments. Evaluate all key factors including client requirements, use of the product, material selection, safety, legal requirements, and design for manufacture. Lead internal design reviews for new design with assistance from the Senior Engineer. Responsible for assigned design projects and delivering these projects within the required timescale.
