The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department from September 2026 on a full-time supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students' confidence in numeracy, algebra, geometry, statistics, reasoning, and problem-solving. You will support pupils in preparing for GCSE Mathematics, ensuring they develop the knowledge and skills needed to achieve their full potential.
Working within a supportive Mathematics department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement while encouraging students to develop resilience, confidence, and a positive attitude towards mathematics.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering the GCSE Maths curriculum
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a positive, engaging, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
