Materials Planning Manager

Overview
Alexander Steele are working with an ambient food manufacturer in West Yorkshire which are looking to recruit a Materials Planning Manager. The ideal candidate has experience leading a team and has experience working in a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Stock Replenishment team, including appraisals, reviews, and personal development.Oversee supplier performance, acting as first point of escalation for shortages or quality issues.Manage contracts (4–13 weeks) and call-offs (1–3 weeks) in line with forecasts and production plans.Collaborate with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Commercial, and GTM teams to ensure accurate and timely call-offs and contracts.Maintain KPIs, dashboards, purchase orders, stock levels, and safety stocks, ensuring data accuracy across systems (Sage, Infor).Drive continuous improvement across stock replenishment systems, processes, and supplier management.Manage supplier relationships end-to-end, including expediting materials, monitoring contracts, handling queries, and reducing obsolescence risk.Lead packaging management, including redesigns, delists, and NPD launches.Resolve invoice queries, raise hold/rejection notes, and support stock take activities.Ensure compliance with company policies on health and safety, brand integrity, and professional standards.Take an active role in self-development, training, and contributing to ad hoc projects as required.On Offer
