Job Title: SandOP ManagerLocation: Barnsley, UKJob Summary:
Elevation Procurement and Supply Chain are support a fast paced manufacturing organisation in the search and selection of a dynamic and experienced SandOP Manager, to join our team in Barnsley.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning and forecasting, with a proven track record in systems development and managing the Sales and Operations Planning (SandOP) process. This role will be pivotal in driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring optimal inventory management and supply chain efficiency.Availability:
Ideally you will be available immediately to start or be available at a maximum 1 month notice period.Responsibilities
Lead the SandOP process, facilitating monthly meetings and driving consensus across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams.Develop and implement robust demand planning and forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability of predictions.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and data, ensuring all market trends and demands are accounted for in forecasting.Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock management to balance cost efficiency with service level requirements.Drive the development and enhancement of SandOP systems and tools, ensuring they meet business needs and are aligned with best practices.Analyse data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing regular updates and insights to senior management on SandOP activities and performance.Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the demand planning function.Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years experience in SandOP management, demand planning, or related fieldStrong analytical skills, with proficiency in forecasting software and ERP systemsProven experience in systems development and process optimizationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teamsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management and SandOPProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with advanced analytics tools is a plusBenefits
