Marketing Officer

One of my local goverment clients is seeking a Marketing Officer to join its dedicated Communications Team.

In this vital role, you’ll be at the forefront of managing the Council's external media presence, promoting key events, and ensuring high-quality engagement with the public through press releases, social media, and digital content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on identifying proactive communication opportunities for external media coverage.

• Create, publish, and distribute press releases, social media content, and videos.

• Maintain a forward plan across media channels and manage timely responses to media queries.

• Monitor and manage online engagement, including responding to social media comments.

• Support daily website maintenance, media inboxes, and community updates.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in marketing, communications, or PR (preferably within local government or public sector).

• Strong written communication and copywriting skills.

• Experience managing media responses and creating multimedia content.

• Confident working both independently and collaboratively.

• Ability to travel to the Nuneaton office when required.
