Manufacturing Project Engineer

CDM Recruitment are working with a leading global engineering organisation to recruit a Manufacturing Project Engineer for their Newcastle facility. This is a varied role focused on engineering improvement projects across manufacturing operations, particularly around the final preparation and packing of large engineered products. The Role Lead and support manufacturing improvement projects. Map processes and identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification and efficiency improvements. Apply Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies. Produce and update AutoCAD layouts and technical documentation. Develop SOPs, work standards, design rules and process documentation. Coordinate internal stakeholders and external contractors. Support manufacturing readiness, risk reviews and engineering change. Use structured problem solving to resolve manufacturing issues. Support improvements to how large products and materials move through the facility. About You We''re interested in engineers with: Experience within manufacturing or engineering. Project engineering and/or continuous improvement experience. Process mapping and Lean/CI knowledge. AutoCAD experience. Strong stakeholder and project coordination skills. Experience delivering against challenging project schedules. Experience within heavy engineering, offshore, subsea, marine or large-scale manufacturing would be beneficial, as would an awareness of heavy lifting/material handling, but direct logistics or subsea ..... full job details .....
