Manufacturing Engineer Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Manchester Salary: £40,000- £50,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering and manufacturing business. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys improving processes, driving efficiencies, and working closely with production, quality, and design teams to deliver world-class manufacturing performance. Day-to-day of the role: Process Improvement and Manufacturing Development Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes. Design and implement process flows and production layouts to maximise efficiency. Analyse production workflows and identify opportunities for process and cost improvements. Production Support Provide technical support to production teams and resolve manufacturing challenges. Work collaboratively with shop-floor personnel to identify and implement practical solutions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across manufacturing operations. Equipment and Tooling Specify, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment. Maintain and improve existing production and testing equipment to enhance productivity. Design and source fixtures and tooling to support manufacturing requirements. Cost Reduction and Lean Manufacturing Analyse manufacturing costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenditure.
