Interim Management Accountant (Manufacturing)We are recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant to join a well-established, privately owned manufacturing group based in Barnsley.This assignment has arisen while a permanent appointment is identified, recruited and on-boarded. The initial interim contract is expected to last 4-6 months, although there is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take responsibility for the management accounts and financial reporting for two local manufacturing sites within the group.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction of monthly management accounts.Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.Balance sheet reconciliations.Stock accounting and inventory reporting.Product costing and cost analysis.Oversight of the sales and purchase ledgers.Cash flow management and reporting.Preparation and submission of VAT returns.Intrastat reporting.Fixed asset accounting and maintenance of the fixed asset register.Candidate RequirementsQualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).Previous management accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of stock accounting and costing principles.Able to work on-site in Barnsley.Available to start at short notice or immediately.This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful manufacturing business and make an immediate impact during a key period for the finance team.Immediate start available.
