Management Accountant

RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with a successful engineering company based in the heart of Liverpool to recruit a knowledgeable Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a part / qualified CIMA or ACCA candidate to join a growing team. Skills include but are not limited to: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including PandL and balance sheet reporting Take ownership of the month-end process, including journals, accruals and prepayments Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies Produce detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year results Provide clear financial insight to senior management Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts Monitor business performance, costs and KPIs Work closely with operational teams to improve financial understanding and cost control Support cash flow forecasting Assist with year-end accounts and external audit requirements Prepare VAT returns and other financial information where required Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting Provide financial analysis and support on ad hoc projects as required Managing a team of 4 within finance 2 years'' experience within a senior finance role Benefits : 37.5 hours per week (flexi start / finish) 25 days holiday + bank Competitive salary Company pension Death in service Life insurance ..... full job details .....
