Management Accountant

We are seeking a commercially minded, qualified Management Accountant on an interim basis to support the finance function of a fast-paced media business. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and providing financial reporting & analysis across media operations.

Offering a competitive day rate and a hybrid working pattern based in Central London, this role requires an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting
• Deliver budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Partner with sales, content and commercial teams
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Support month-end, audits and financial controls
• Provide meaningful financial insight and support strategic decision making
• Assist with audits and statutory reporting requirements

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified (preferred)
• Strong management accounting and business partnering experience
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
• Experience within media, publishing, digital, marketing or creative sectors (preferred)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
