Management Accountant

I am delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a highly regarded and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive firm that embraces digital technology, flexible working and a collaborative culture.The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality management accounting services to a varied portfolio of clients, whilst also overseeing and supporting a small team of bookkeepers.

The Role
As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Producing meaningful financial reports, forecasts and business insights.
• Reviewing bookkeeping work and ensuring accuracy across client records.
• Supervising, mentoring and supporting a small team of bookkeepers.
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies through technology.
• Supporting clients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting and business performance analysis.
• Working closely with senior management to enhance service delivery.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong management accounting experience.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or managing junior team members.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• A proactive and commercial approach to problem solving.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar platforms.
