Job Title: Maintenance Operative Location: Canada Water, London Pay Rate: 18 - 20 per hour Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time (4-6 weeks) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (30-minute lunch break)Start date: Monday 4th AugustWe are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Operative to join a reputable student accommodation site in Canada Water. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on maintenance experience to support the upkeep and improvement of residential facilities over a 4-6 week period. Key Responsibilities:As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the accommodation facilities. Your responsibilities will include:General Maintenance: Responding to minor repair issues across the site and supporting with ad-hoc maintenance tasks.Electrical and Plumbing: Assisting with routine electrical and plumbing maintenance and minor repairs.Painting and Decorating: Carrying out internal painting and redecorating to maintain a high standard of presentation.Appliance Installation: Supporting with the replacement of ovens, hobs, kitchen extractors, and toilets across 23 flats.Garden and Outdoor Areas: Performing light gardening duties to keep outdoor spaces clean and presentable.Refurbishment Works: Assisting with balcony refurbishments and other light refurb works as required.Blockages: Helping with shower and drainage blockages as necessary.
