Maintenance Officer - 3 Posts

The Role We are seeking a few dedicated and practical Maintenance Officers to join our Estates and Facilities department, supporting the safe, efficient and effective operation of the College across our sites. This role has 3 available posts, for 3 successful candidates. The successful candidates will play an important role in maintaining College buildings, facilities, grounds, equipment and communal areas to a high standard. Working closely with the Facilities Supervisor and wider Estates team, you will undertake general repairs, routine inspections, compliance checks, portering and site support, while responding professionally to maintenance issues and incidents. The ideal candidates will: Carry out general repairs and maintenance to fixtures, fittings, furniture and equipment, including the safe use of hand and power tools. Undertake minor redecoration and general caretaking duties as required. Carry out regular checks of College buildings, grounds, toilets and communal areas, ensuring facilities remain safe and operational. Undertake and accurately record routine compliance checks, including fire alarms, water systems and emergency lighting. Identify hazards, defects and maintenance issues and promptly report or escalate concerns to the Facilities Supervisor. Receive and safely transport deliveries, equipment and materials between College sites as required. Support the clearance and removal of waste and recycling across College facilities.
