Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will:
Lead and develop a team of multi-skilled technicians, embedding a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Manage all aspects of plant maintenance to maximise availability and efficiency.
Plan and oversee maintenance outages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Take responsibility for procurement, contractor management, and ensuring value for money across maintenance activities.
Monitor budgets and expenditure, contributing to long-term financial planning.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, 55001).
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver maintenance strategies and improvement projects.
Maintain oversight of critical spares and stock control to support reliability.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
Proven leadership in a maintenance or engineering role within a power station or similar heavy process industry (EfW, Biomass, CCGT, Refinery, Petrochemical, Marine, etc.).
Strong understanding of statutory compliance, including PSSR, LOLER, and PUWER.
Experience with rotating plant, steam systems, and balance of plant equipment.
Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
