Maintenance Assistant
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant in Oxford. The role will assist in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of critical mechanical systems across a busy environment.The role will be carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and high standards of service delivery. Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Operations Manager - EstatesTo undertake the maintenance of the building as directed by the PPM schedule and the management, using the appropriate trade skills requiredWork alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out maintenance/repair of MandE services plant and equipment across the site.To integrate and communicate effectively with other trade staff such as engineers particularly for MandE maintenance, new and remedial works.To carry out MandE works as required i.e. new works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme.Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with a requirement to work flexible hours to suit the operational needs of the site as requiredQualifications and ExperienceRecognised engineering apprenticeship or approved equivalentNVQ Level 2 (or higher) or equivalent relevant experienceDemonstrable experience in a relevant mechanical maintenance roleCity and Guilds in steam maintenance or BOAS certificationExperience with calorifiers, PHEs, pipe fitting, industrial hot water ..... full job details .....
