Maintenance and Service Manager

The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance and Services Manager to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance and efficiency of plant machinery and production equipment, combining hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance with proactive fault finding, planned maintenance and engineering improvements. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Manager with a strong background in a high-volume manufacturing, production or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment. Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime. Fault-find on PLC-controlled systems, including Siemens and Allen-Bradley. Diagnose faults involving motor control circuits, VSDs, contactors, sensors and three-phase power systems. Maintain and repair mechanical systems including gearboxes, chains, belts, conveyors, pumps, pneumatics and hydraulics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical drawings and maintenance manuals. Identify and implement engineering modifications and improvements to enhance machinery performance, reliability and efficiency.
