Location: Buckingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: £40,000 – £42,500 DOE

Are you an experienced maintenance professional with strong technical knowledge and a proven track record of leading and developing a team?

We are looking for a Maintenance & Facilities Manager to take responsibility for a small team across a multi-site operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will combine your technical maintenance expertise with strong people-management skills, helping to drive standards, improve processes and develop a proactive maintenance culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible and hands-on, while also having the leadership skills to develop people and make a genuine operational impact.

About the Role

You will take ownership of day-to-day maintenance and facilities activity across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability and service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, supporting and developing a small maintenance team.
• Overseeing planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Providing technical guidance and support to the team.
• Carrying out regular site inspections and identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensuring maintenance standards and processes are consistently followed.
• Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Managing contractors and external service providers where required.
• Supporting health & safety, compliance and statutory maintenance requirements.
• Building strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
• Promoting a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Strong technical maintenance knowledge and experience.
• Previous experience leading, supervising or managing a maintenance team.
• A background in facilities, commercial, industrial or engineering maintenance.
• Electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• The ability to troubleshoot issues and provide practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance.
• The confidence to coach and develop team members.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A full UK driving licence.

You don''t need to have experience in every aspect of the role from day one. The key requirement is strong technical maintenance capability combined with solid people-management experience. Additional responsibilities and knowledge can be developed once you are established in the role.
