Are you an experienced Manual Machinist or Tool Room Machinist with a strong background operating conventional machinery?Are you a time-served engineer who enjoys producing precision components, working from technical drawings and taking ownership of machining work from start to finish?We''re supporting a leading manufacturing business in New Milton who are looking to recruit an experienced General Machinist to join their Tool Room.This is a hands-on position that would suit an experienced machinist who is confident with manual lathes and mills and has spent significant time working within a Tool Room environment.What''s the role all about?As the General Machinist, you''ll be responsible for supporting internal manufacturing and tooling requirements, producing components to specified quality standards using a range of conventional Tool Room machinery.Working closely with Production, Quality and Production Engineering, you''ll manufacture components from technical engineering drawings, using your machining knowledge and experience to ensure accuracy, quality and consistency.This isn''t simply a machine operating position.
