About the Role
A Machine Operator is required in Stratford-upon-Avon, paying £13.11 per hour on a temporary-to-permanent, full-time contract. Pertemps are currently recruiting for an Extrusion Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate extrusion machinery to manufacture a range of profiles, including bars, tubing and structural shapes.
- Select and install dies, mandrels, calibrators, extrusion heads and haul-offs to suit production requirements.
- Ensure hoppers are supplied with the correct raw materials throughout production.
- Complete all production and quality records accurately.
- Carry out dimensional and surface finish checks to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
- Remove finished products from the production line and pack them to the required standard.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, including lubrication, to keep machinery operating efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and housekeeping within the production area.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Starting pay of £13.11 per hour whilst training.
- Full training provided.
