Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Shift Pattern: Rotating weekly shifts - 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm and 10:00pm-6:00am

We''re seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join a busy production team. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is keen to develop their skills across multiple production lines.
You''ll be responsible for operating a range of machinery, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently in line with production schedules.
- Run and monitor extrusion, coating, lamination, and printing processes.
- Slit materials into tapes according to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Process materials accurately through the ERP system.
- Ensure all production, safety, and quality procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate production records and system data.
- Operate production lines following training and maintain flexibility across departments.
- Support the training and development of colleagues through cross-training initiatives.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover where required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Work towards and achieve production targets and KPIs.
What We''re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment.
- Strong focus on health and safety.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using production systems.
- Good numerical and literacy skills with the ability to complete production documentation accurately.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow production plans and standard operating procedures.
- Experience moving materials using electric pump trucks and/or forklifts.
- Physically capable of handling heavy equipment and materials.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Desirable
- Understanding of quality management systems.
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Experience within extrusion, lamination, coating, printing, or converting environments.
