Locum Employment Lawyer

Your new companyA public sector shared legal service operating across North West London and the Home Counties is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month rolling contract, with an immediate start desired.Your new roleYou will join a team of specialist lawyers, providing comprehensive employment law advice and support to the council. Working closely with Team Leaders and Service Managers, you will manage a varied and complex caseload while contributing to the ongoing development of the wider legal practice.Your responsibilities will include:Advising and having conduct of employment law matters, including contentious and non-contentious workProviding clear, practical, and politically sensitive advice to officers and elected members, including in formal and public forumsRepresentation at meetings, hearings, and courts as requiredThis is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a collegiate legal team.What you''ll need to succeedYou will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with substantial experience in employment law and a demonstrable track record of managing complex cases.
