Salary: £109,5725 – £145,478 per annum
Contract: Substantive
Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC: SPA = 7.5:2.5); On call included; Frequency 1:10; Category A - 5% on-call supplement
Location: Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital, Staplehurst, Kent, TN12 0ER
Qualifications: Full GMC registration with licence to practice; CCT or equivalent; Section 12 Approval or eligibility; Approved Clinician status or eligibility; Specialist Register or eligibility within 6 months of CCST

Responsibilities
Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Kent and Medway
Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
Work directly with young people and their families; liaise with other CAMHS providers and acute hospitals
Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1:10) with a 5% on-call supplement
Support peers and team leaders while allowing initiative
Collaborate with inpatient medical colleagues and supervise the full-time Specialty Doctor (currently out to recruitment)
Commit to collaborative working and liaison with other health, social care professionals, and agencies

About the role and serviceThis is an established, substantive, full-time post with 10 Programmed Activities (7.5 PA DCC and 2.5 SPA). The CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position is in the Intensive Home Treatment and Crisis Assessment Team within the Adolescent Tier 4 CAMHS service, based at Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital.
You will work alongside a full-time Specialty Doctor (currently out to recruitment) within this service, for whom you will provide monthly supervision.
