Liability Claims Handler

We are working with a leading insurance and claims solutions provider who are looking to appoint a Casualty Claims Handler in the West Midlands. This role offers hybrid working and is commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Lichfield, Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, and surrounding areas.As a Casualty Claims Handler, you will manage a caseload of EL and PL insurance claims, taking responsibility for investigating liability, assessing damages, and achieving fair outcomes. This is an opportunity for an experienced claims professional to gain more autonomy and responsibility, while working with a supportive and established insurance business.ResponsibilitiesHandle and investigate casualty (EL/PL) insurance claims from first notification through to settlementReview, record, and manage claims within policy and compliance standardsGather evidence, adjust reserves, and explain liability decisions clearlyNegotiate settlements within authority levelsBuild and maintain positive working relationships with clients, solicitors, and third partiesRespond to written and phone enquiries promptly and professionallySupport colleagues with general administration where neededLiability Claims HandlerRequirementsExperience handling EL and PL insurance claimsAbility to evaluate liability, coverage, and recovery opportunitiesKnowledge of reserving principlesStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell organised, with the ability to manage your own caseloadEligible to work in the UKWhat''s ..... full job details .....
