Lewisham - Independent Reviewing Officer

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join the Looked After Children Service at Lewisham Council. Duties and Responsibilities Chair statutory reviews of Looked After Children in accordance with legislation and statutory guidance. Monitor the progress of care plans and ensure plans are progressing appropriately. Provide independent oversight and professional challenge to ensure children''s needs, wishes, and best interests remain central to care planning. Raise quality assurance and good practice alerts where appropriate. Contribute to the development of practice in relation to Looked After Children. Promote effective partnership working with children, families, carers, Social Workers, and partner agencies. Work within the principles of anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practice. Work within Family Led Practice principles, ensuring children and families remain the respected focus of work. Maintain accurate records relating to reviews, decisions, and care planning. Travel to children''s placements as required. Working Pattern 1 day in the office, 4 days working from home, with travel to children''s placements. Pay Rate 43.35 p/h Umbrella Essential Requirements Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent. Social Work England Registration.
