Level 4 School Sports Coach (Apprenticeship)

APPRENTICESHIP JOB SPECIFICATION

CORE TASKS 

• Shadowing and supporting in a range of different sports during curriculum lessons and extra-curricular clubs, gaining as much  knowledge, understanding and skill in the delivery of teaching to pupils aged 3 - 11.
• Shadowing and supporting in a range of Extended School Sport Clubs before and after school. 
• Support in delivering high quality Multi Sports Holiday Camp Provisions. 
• Apply the knowledge, skill and understanding to progress your 
• responsibility by independently delivering Physical Education lessons, 
• Extended School Club sessions, activities at Multi Sports Holiday Camps and within any other provisions we offer. 
• Attend all online apprenticeship mentoring seminars, lessons and/or meetings. 
• Complete all apprenticeship learning assignments by the deadline set by your mentor. 

GENERAL TASKS 

• Lead lunchtime sports clubs where required. 
• Assist in preparation training sessions and coaching squads from the sidelines at the sports fixtures, festivals and competitions. 
• Support in delivering Children’s Birthday Parties. 
• Set up and store equipment required for daily lessons and clubs. 

EXPERIENCE
Experience in coaching children with a desire to develop knowledge, 
skill and understanding in a range of different subjects. 
SKILLS

• Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative. 
• Ability to meet deadlines and ensuring tasks are completed on time. 
• Strong organisation, and time management skills.
• Be able to communicate clearly and accurately. 
• Be reliable, efficient and professional in all areas of your work.
• Able to work efficiently and effectively alongside an ambitious sports team.
