Learning Support AssistantLocation: Witham Contract Type: PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including children and young people who may have experienced trauma and adversity.This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping pupils thrive both academically and personally within a nurturing and supportive environment.The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo, Senior Leadership Team and teaching staff to deliver tailored educational and emotional support through both one-to-one and group provision.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the holistic development of pupils with SEND and additional needs.Build safe, positive and trusting relationships with pupils.Support the delivery of learning activities and interventions.Assist with planning, preparation and assessment alongside teaching staff.Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies and restorative approaches.Help pupils develop social, emotional and life skills to support future independence and transitions.Work collaboratively with parents/carers and external professionals where required.Support safeguarding procedures and maintain a vigilant approach to pupil welfare.Attend staff meetings, training and professional development opportunities.Provide flexible support across the school as required, including covering for absent ..... full job details .....
