Salary: -18,000 - -21,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated EYFS SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and nurturing specialist educational setting in Wickford.
This permanent role involves supporting young children within the Early Years Foundation Stage who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop communication and social skills, and achieve their individual developmental targets within a caring and structured environment.
The Role
As an EYFS SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support children with SEND on a one-to-one and small group basis
* Assist in delivering engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs
* Encourage communication, social interaction and emotional development
* Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised learning strategies
* Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
* Support pupils with daily routines and promote independence wherever possible
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
* Has experience working with children with SEND in an educational, care or similar setting
* Demonstrates patience, empathy and excellent communication skills
* Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential
* Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Has a proactive and positive approach to supporting learning and development
* Experience with personal care would be advantageous but is not essential
