Learning Support Assistant
Simply Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to provide high-quality support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.Responsibilities: Supporting pupils to make good progress in all areas of the curriculumHelp pupils with SEN to take part in school events and activitiesGiving pupils the confidence to work independently and positively with other pupilsPromoting pupil wellbeing and encouraging pupils to express themselvesWorking within a supportive teamRequirements:Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A calm, patient, and caring approach when supporting young people.Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Experience working with secondary-aged students or within a school setting.Knowledge of SEND strategies or specific learning difficulties (e.g. autism, dyslexia, ADHD).Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent.All candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check.
