Learning Support Assistant (LSA) 1:1 Nursery Support Location: Ivy House, Wellington Lane, Farnham GU9 9BA Hours: 3 4 days per week, 9:30am 2:30pm Contract: Part-time and Temporary Start date: November 2026 About the role We are looking for a warm, caring and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child in our nursery setting. The successful candidate will work closely with the child, nursery staff and wider support team to help the child feel safe, included and supported throughout their nursery day. You will provide individualised support, encourage participation in activities and help the child develop their confidence, independence and social skills. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children and has a genuine interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities For The Learning Support Assistant Provide consistent and supportive 1:1 assistance to the child throughout the nursery day. Support the child to access and participate in nursery activities and play. Encourage communication, social interaction, independence and confidence. Follow strategies and guidance provided by the nursery and relevant professionals. Help the child manage transitions and changes in routine.
