Learning Support Assistant for Autism

In this role, you''ll be:

• Supporting classroom learning by helping pupils access resources and participate fully in lessons
• Partnering with teaching staff to modify materials and make content suitable for individual needs
• Promoting social connections and supporting participation in school clubs and special events
• Delivering focused one-to-one sessions to strengthen classroom learning and boost academic progress
• Collaborating with the school''s SEND and implementing approaches for each child''s growth and learning journey
• Leading small group activities
• Providing individual support when needed

WHAT WE''RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will hold a degree and/or show genuine commitment to pursuing a career as a primary teaching assistant, with particular interest in supporting children with additional needs.

Essential qualities and background:

• Current or future teacher, SEND support worker or classroom assistant
• Knowledge of Autism Spectrum conditions
• Effective approaches to managing challenging behaviour
• Professional presentation
• Positive attitude and warm personality
• Creative and engaging teaching style
