In this role, you''ll be:
- Supporting classroom learning by helping pupils access resources and participate fully in lessons
- Partnering with teaching staff to modify materials and make content suitable for individual needs
- Promoting social connections and supporting participation in school clubs and special events
- Delivering focused one-to-one sessions to strengthen classroom learning and boost academic progress
- Collaborating with the school''s SEND and implementing approaches for each child''s growth and learning journey
- Leading small group activities
- Providing individual support when needed
WHAT WE''RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will hold a degree and/or show genuine commitment to pursuing a career as a primary teaching assistant, with particular interest in supporting children with additional needs.
Essential qualities and background:
- Current or future teacher, SEND support worker or classroom assistant
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum conditions
- Effective approaches to managing challenging behaviour
- Professional presentation
- Positive attitude and warm personality
- Creative and engaging teaching style
