Salary: -22,981 actual per annum (Pro-rata, based on a -24,540 full-time equivalent)

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive, friendly team in Stoke-on-Trent. In this role, you will assist teaching staff across a broad spectrum of academic and vocational subject areas, playing a vital part in creating an inclusive, positive learning environment for our local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Academic & Vocational Support: Assist teaching staff in the classroom and around the centre, supporting learners across a variety of vocational and academic subjects.

• Learner Empowerment: Actively engage and motivate students, supporting the delivery of tailored learning programmes catered to individual abilities, needs, and interests.

• Progress Tracking: Provide detailed feedback to teaching staff on learner progress against set academic, vocational, and pastoral targets.

• Outcome Focus: Help learners maintain focus on achieving their desired outcomes and preparing for future progression destinations.

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Develop positive working relationships with external agencies and collaborate effectively in multi-agency settings to support holistic student needs.

Requirements:

• Level 2 (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent) in English and Maths is essential.

• An Enhanced DBS check with Barred Lists is strictly required for this post.

• Previous experience supporting young people in an educational or FE setting, particularly those with LLDD/SEND needs, is advantageous, though full support is given to those new to the field.
