LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS WANTEDSPECIALIST SEND SETTING ST HELENS 14+ PER HOURNot every SEND role is about sitting in a classroom.This one is about helping young people learn the skills they''ll actually use in everyday life.We''re recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist SEND setting in St Helens, with opportunities to start ASAP.The setting has a strong focus on independence, employability and preparation for adulthood, with students learning through practical and vocational activities as well as more traditional education.YOUR DAY COULD INVOLVE:Working alongside a student in the caf and developing customer service skills.Getting involved in practical workshops and woodwork.Supporting landscaping and outdoor activities.Helping with animal care.Encouraging communication, confidence and independence.Supporting employability and preparation-for-adulthood activities.Helping students overcome barriers and achieve goals that are important to them.This is a role where being willing to get involved really matters.
