Learning Support Assistant - Spen ValleyAcademics, a leading education supply agency, are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a lovely, supportive village school in the Spen Valley.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced LSA, Teaching Assistant or individual with relevant care experience to make a real difference to a child''s educational and personal development.The successful candidate will work as part of a 2:1 support team, providing consistent, nurturing and individualised support to a child with a range of educational and physical needs.The role will involve:Providing dedicated 2:1 support throughout the school daySupporting the child with their learning, communication and engagementAssisting with personal care and physical needs where requiredWorking closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support teamHelping the child to develop confidence, independence and positive relationshipsFollowing individual care, learning and support plansCreating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environmentWe would love to hear from you if you have:Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needsA caring, patient and nurturing approachThe ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectivelyExperience supporting children with complex educational or physical needsExperience with PEG feeding and/or colostomy care would be highly advantageousA full driving licence would be ..... full job details .....
