The successful Learning Mentor will provide dedicated support to a child with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to feel safe, settled and confident within the school environment. The role will involve building a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil, using a calm and consistent approach to encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning. The successful Learning Mentor will need to be proactive, show initiative and be able to identify when a pupil may need additional support before situations escalate.
