Learning Mentor Dudley 110- 115 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year) Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate and resilient Learning Mentor to join a specialist SEMH setting in Dudley. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning while developing the confidence, resilience, and life skills needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom. Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and the wider support team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. About the Role Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils with SEMH needsSupporting students to engage positively with learning and achieve their academic targetsBuilding strong, trusting relationships while maintaining clear boundaries and professionalismHelping pupils develop emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and social skillsSupporting students through challenging situations using positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniquesEncouraging attendance, engagement, and participation in lessons and wider school lifeMonitoring pupil progress and wellbeing, providing regular feedback to ..... full job details .....
