Learning and Development Business Partner at National Wealth Fund. Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Leeds office. Salary: £70,000 – £75,000.Shape the Future with the National Wealth Fund. The Fund mobilises trusted sector insights and investment expertise to unlock billions in private finance for projects across the United Kingdom, providing £27.8bn of capital and an expanded mandate to help the market invest with confidence and drive Government growth ambitions. The Learning and Development Partner will help build the organisation’s learning capability to support the NWF mission and people strategy as the organisation scales.This is a hands-on role for an experienced practitioner who is tech-savvy, delivery-focused, and committed to sustaining excellence through strong learning foundations.Job Purpose
The Learning Business Partner will design, deliver and continuously develop learning solutions that strengthen leadership capability, accelerate performance, and drive organisational growth. Working as part of a best-in-class HR function, the role covers the full learning cycle—from identifying needs and designing programmes, through to delivery, evaluation and ongoing improvement. The LandD Partner will work closely with the wider HR team and will embed digital learning, enable knowledge sharing across NWF, and support induction, early careers and cross-functional development.This role requires a hands-on approach, and a focus on delivering value through effective learning solutions that align with the NWF mission and people strategy as the organisation scales.Responsibilities
Work with the HR team to support the delivery of the NWF People Strategy and plan, ensuring training needs across the Bank are effectively delivered and add tangible value.Collaborate with HR colleagues, leaders and managers to research, identify, design and deliver blended learning solutions accessible to all employees, including induction, cross-functional business awareness, team development, leadership development, coaching and mentoring.Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and embed the NWF employee engagement framework and behaviours through knowledge and learning opportunities.Create and deliver innovative and engaging learning content (digital, face-to-face, peer learning, coaching, mentoring) while championing behaviours and coaching others.Maintain relationships and communication with stakeholders, project manage delivery solutions, and lead on design and delivery of ad-hoc learning requests.Manage and facilitate training requests and applications for professional study.Contribute to early careers initiatives (intern, graduate programmes and apprenticeships) to ensure strong entry-level pipelines.Manage and optimise the Learning Management System (LMS) and learning ecosystems to ensure an excellent learner experience, adoption and reporting.Curate and create high-quality digital learning content to complement in-house programmes.Introduce tools and platforms that support knowledge sharing and communities of practice.Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions to continuously improve offering and ROI.Generate best practice and keep learning content up to date with evolving needs and advancements.Continuously review and enhance learning content and programmes based on feedback and changing needs.Note: The description references the importance of diversity, inclusion and learning opportunities, and mentions background checks as part of the process.Seniority
