Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Location: West Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Hereford, Lichfield, Worcester)

The Role
As a Learner Engagement Officer, you’ll be actively involved in recruiting and supporting learners from initial contact through to enrolment.
This is a hands-on, community-focused role where building relationships and engaging individuals is key.
Key responsibilities:
- Promote adult education and employability programmes within the community
- Engage and recruit learners onto AEB-funded courses
- Conduct initial assessments and eligibility checks
- Support learners through the enrolment process
- Build relationships with job centres and local referral partners
- Attend outreach events and community engagement activities
- Maintain accurate records of learner interactions and recruitment activity
Ideal Candidate
You are a people-focused professional who enjoys engaging with individuals and supporting them into opportunities.
You will bring:
- Experience in learner engagement, recruitment, or customer-facing roles
- Exposure to training providers, employability programmes, or adult education (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Organised approach to managing outreach and follow-ups
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
