Learner Engagement/Recruitment Officer

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Location: West Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Hereford, Lichfield, Worcester)

The Role

As a Learner Engagement Officer, you’ll be actively involved in recruiting and supporting learners from initial contact through to enrolment.

This is a hands-on, community-focused role where building relationships and engaging individuals is key.

Key responsibilities:

• Promote adult education and employability programmes within the community
• Engage and recruit learners onto AEB-funded courses
• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility checks
• Support learners through the enrolment process
• Build relationships with job centres and local referral partners
• Attend outreach events and community engagement activities
• Maintain accurate records of learner interactions and recruitment activity

You are a people-focused professional who enjoys engaging with individuals and supporting them into opportunities.

You will bring:

• Experience in learner engagement, recruitment, or customer-facing roles
• Exposure to training providers, employability programmes, or adult education (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Organised approach to managing outreach and follow-ups
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
