Lead Assembly TechnicianSalary: Up to £40,000 per annum, with progression opportunitiesLocation: CoventryContract: PermanentHours: 37.5 hours - DaysRole SummaryThe Lead Assembly Technician is responsible for carrying out high-quality sub-assembly and full-assembly work across mechanical and electrical components to meet production, quality, and safety standards. The role supports collaboration across manufacturing and engineering functions, while also contributing to process improvement, training, and the efficient flow of work through assembly operations.Role and Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical assembly in line with standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and production targets.Prepare and assemble complex wiring and sub-systems, including routing and connecting harnesses to PCBs and associated components.Carry out approved modifications, rework, and repairs using the correct tools and methods.Support the introduction of new assembly processes alongside Engineering and Manufacturing Engineers.Create and follow up on non-conformance reports to support quality improvement and reduce recurrence.Ensure assembly activities are completed in line with quality, risk, environmental, and health and safety procedures.Participate in continuous improvement activities across assembly operations.Lead Assembly Technician will support the training of new personnel within the assembly function.Proactively create work orders and support kitting activities to ..... full job details .....
