Landscape Gardener Swalwell, Gateshead 12.22 per hour Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Gardener to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of our outdoor spaces. We''re looking for someone with a strong background in groundskeeping, with a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are well-kept, safe, and visually appealing. Duties Perform general groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Dig and prepare soil for planting flowers, shrubs, and trees. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to maintain landscapes and gardens. Build and maintain garden beds, pathways, and other outdoor structures as needed. Irrigate plants and ensure proper watering techniques are followed to promote healthy growth. Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards. Maintain equipment in good working order through routine checks and minor repairs. Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow clearing, and planting seasonal flowers. Requirements Proven experience in grounds keeping or landscape maintenance is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain various power tools and equipment safely. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
