About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer/Fettler to join our clients engineering team. This hands-on role involves supporting fabrication and manufacturing processes, including the cleaning, grinding, and preparation of metal components to ensure quality finish and readiness for further production or dispatch.Key Responsibilities: Use hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, sanders) to clean and finish metal components Remove sharp edges, burrs, weld spatter, and imperfections from fabricated parts Assist with general labouring duties around the workshop and production floor, FLT licence is a bonus but not essential Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas Support tradespeople as required Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards Follow all health and safety policies and procedures Key Requirements: Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environment (preferred) Experience with fettling, grinding, or working with metal components (preferred) Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Physically fit and capable of manual handling and standing for long periods Strong work ethic and attention to detail Reliable and punctual Forklift licence (desirable but not essential) Willingness to learn and work as part of a team What We Offer: Full training and ongoing supportPermanent position after successful trial period Safe and supportive working environment Overtime available ..... full job details .....
