Laboratory Technician

CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician- to join a busy analytical laboratory at their site in Middlesbrough. This is a 12 month fixed term role.-

• Performing sample preparation to a high standard and in accordance with established procedures and maintaining accurate records.
• Carrying out data entry of sample information onto the laboratory management system-
• Advising the Day Supervisor of any practical, operational or QHSE issues that arise during the working day.
• -Complying with the working rota & weekend working systems as directed by the Day Supervisor and/or Laboratory Manager.
• -Providing cover for absence during normal working hours and on Saturdays in agreement with the Day Supervisor and/or Laboratory Manager.
• -Participating in internal & external audits (ISO:9001, ISO 18001, ISO 45001 & ISO:17025) including witness analysis and competency testing.

Your background:

• A/AS/GCSE Level(s) in related subject(s).
• Previous experience in relevant laboratory and/or industry-based experience would be an advantage.
• -Ability to gain knowledge of relevant laboratory operations/standards and properties of relevant chemical products.
