Laboratory Scientist

The company has supported drug discovery, diagnostics, and cell therapy to biomedical researchers across Europe. Role Overview: This is a hands-on scientific position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced lab setting and is eager to take ownership of both routine processing and innovative lab development. You will work closely with a dedicated team of scientists and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the consistency, quality, and scientific credibility of biospecimen products used in cutting-edge biomedical research. The role offers an excellent pathway for future growth, including opportunities to influence new laboratory capabilities and take on leadership responsibilities. Key responsibilities: Process and isolate immune cells (e.g. PBMCs, T cells) from human blood donations Apply controlled-rate freezing and cryopreservation techniques Maintain accurate and compliant lab records Improve internal QC protocols and product reliability Support assay development and optimisation of flow cytometry workflows Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time Train new and existing team members in lab protocols and best practices Provide ongoing scientific mentoring to a lab team of 5 Assist in implementing internal flow cytometry panels Recommend lab equipment, reagents, and processes for service expansion Who you are?
