We are recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join an award-winning laboratory in Witham on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in science who wants to gain hands-on laboratory experience with full training provided.

• Weigh analytical samples with a high degree of accuracy

• Prepare laboratory samples under the guidance of experienced Chemists

• Load and unload laboratory dishwashers

• Clean and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment

• Transport samples and materials between company sites using the company van

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised laboratory environment

• Follow laboratory procedures, quality standards and health & safety guidelines

• Report any issues or deviations to the Laboratory Supervisor

• Genuine interest in science and laboratory work

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Well organised with the ability to work under pressure

• Computer literate

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Able to work with discretion and confidentiality

• Full UK driving licence essential

• Previous laboratory experience is not required - full training provided

• 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

• Monday to Friday working hours
