Lab Infrastructure Engineer (QA)

Ipswich | -350 per day | 6 Month Contract | 5 Days On Site (lab based work)

We''re supporting a major telecommunications organisation that is investing heavily in next-generation broadband and connectivity platforms.

They are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join a highly technical engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining automated testing solutions across broadband and home networking products.

• Developing Python-based automation test scripts
• Building and improving CPE test environments
• Supporting broadband and home gateway product testing
• Working within Agile delivery teams
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Using Git, GitLab and JIRA to support delivery

• Strong Python experience
• Linux administration knowledge
• Docker and containerisation
• Virtual machine environments
• Git / GitLab
• Agile and Scrum environments
• Broadband technologies including:
  • FTTP
  • xDSL
  • IPv4 / IPv6
  • PPP
  • Wi-Fi
  • UPnP
  • 4G / 5G

• CPE / Home Gateway testing experience
• RF fundamentals
• Wireless networking expertise
• Telecoms industry experience

• -350 per day
• Initial 6 month contract
